The Melanie Atherton Updegraff Collection spans across Updegraff’s entire life, including photographs from her childhood, letters to her children, records of her missionary work in India, and other items pertaining to her personal life and missionary work.
The collection focuses primarily on Updegraff’s family, and we see correspondence mostly to and from the women in her family.
